Lesson Plan for Thursday, March 26th
Good morning Kinder Friends! Today, we are all going to try do something for others! I made you a card! I sure hope you like it!
Parents, I know that some of you are having trouble with the Superkids Online Fun. On top of everything else, I know it’s a lot!! Mrs. Jones contacted the company and they suggested going to the, “The Superkids Reading Program,” Facebook page and liking it. Then you can ask them any question that we cannot figure out. Just an option, if it suits you.
Open the Superkids workbook to page 14. Have your kinder read all the text on pages 14 and 15, and then follow the directions at the bottom of the page. On page 16, have your son/daughter circle the letter that stands for the beginning letter in each picture name. (f-foot, v-van, v-vet, f-flowers, v-vest and F-Frits)
Just for fun: If you have some chalk around, go out onto your driveway (If its paved) and write your Vv Superkids words within jumping distance of one another. Now, jump on a word and read it. See if you can jump to the next one and read that one. Can you jump and read them all??? If your driveway is not paved, write the words on paper or 3 by 5 cards, and do this in the grass.
Have a picnic inside or outside and invite your people, or your stuffed animals.
Look up pictures of a castle on the internet and build one with blocks or materials that you have around your house or in your pantry.
Until next time, remember that I’m thinking of you and praying for you every day!!!!!

- Religion: Today have your child make a poster, picture, or thank-you card for a parish priest, our school principal or vice-principal, parent, grandparent, or any other person who has taught him/her about Jesus. Have your child draw a design or picture, write a note of thanks and sign it. Your kinder can email or snail mail the card.
- Reading: Read this list of words to your student, and have him/her pretend to, “Vacuum” if you say a word that begins with V: zoo violet very video starlight juice haircut vase vegetable. Next, we will review the contraction, “Let’s.” Remind your kinder that, “Let’s” is a shorter way of saying and writing, “Let us.” Now explain that an apostrophe with an “S” after a name can also show who owns or has something.

- Math: Show your student something in your home that is shaped like a cube, and something that is shaped like a sphere. Discuss the characteristics of each, and tell your kinder that these shapes are both 3 dimensional or SOLID. If you have toothpicks and playdoh or mini marshmallows at home, have your son/daughter construct a cube. (He/she would start with a square.) Follow the directions at the bottom of page 693, and 694. We will do only 1 page of math today.
