Lesson Plan for Tuesday, May 12th
Greetings! Please don’t forget to take a picture of your kinder holding his/her certificate. Email it on to Mrs. Pendleton if you have not yet done so. She is making a special video for us that she will share on Friday. Thank you for continuing to help your children finish their assignments each day!!! You are just an exceptional group of human beings, and we have had a kindergarten family to be proud of this year! We are going to have our final Zoom meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. I thought I would just let each student have a chance to share a favorite kindergarten memory, or something that he/she enjoyed this year. I will send an invitation on Wednesday, join us if you can! If you would like to explore more about “Summer Safety,” go to “Scholastic/lfo” and enter the password, “winzoo9.”
Religion: Do a page of your choice, or if you have an idea for a service project, prayer time or artistic expression, etc. please feel free to do that instead.
Reading: Open the workbook to pages 24 and 25. The pictures show things that happened in the “Superkids’ Club” stories, but the pictures need to be put in the right order. Cut out the pictures on page 25 and set aside the 2 colored strips and the zipper to use later. Now, look at the first picture of the dirty bus. Find the 2 pictures that show the bus, and glue them down in the correct sequence to show how the Superkids cleaned the bus. Do the same thing with the other 2 stories. (First, next and last.) Now make the letter “Z.” First, glue the green strip across the top of a paper to make the top part of the Z. Next, glue the zipper down to make the slanted part of the Z. Lastly, place the pink strip to make the bottom of the Z. Now, your student will read the words left on page 25 to complete the sentences on page 27. Follow the directions at the bottom of page 27.
Writing: Finish your “K” story from yesterday, if need be.
Math: Choose a review page of your choice. You only need to complete one side.
Just for Fun: 1. Make a weather journal. Keep track of the weather for 1 week. Record the temperature each day. Make a prediction of what the weather will be later, and then observe the changes throughout the day. 2. Have a family member read a Bible story to you. What is the message of the story? 3. Call or send a video message to a family member who might need a smile. 4. Learn your phone number or your address.
