Lesson Plan for Fab Fri-Yay, March 27th
Good morning, and TGIF everyone! Be sure to read Mrs. Pendleton’s email and watch her video Friday morning for a detailed explanation of, “Fab Friday.” She explained to us that every Friday will be, “Fab,” during this time of IC Online. She suggests that you attend mass on the IC homepage. (Spoiler alert, it’s with Bishop Rice today.) You can watch it live at 8:30, or any time after that. Kinders, you can wear your Fab Friday or Class of 2032 shirts today if you wish! Teachers will not be assigning any additional work on Friday. You can use the time to catch up from the week, have additional practice time on any thing you need to work on, read books of your choice, work on Superkids Online Fun, or visit my resource page. (It is located on my class page.) There are many fun things listed there. You can also check out the resource pages of Coach Hines, he has the daily workout video with “Joe,” and he has started a “Cooking with Coach,” series. Senora Struble and Mrs. Garza have pictures of many IC students and families homeschooling on their class pages. Check it out, you just might see some of your friends! You can send in your pictures too!
Now that we have some things figured out, I would like to branch out a little more next week. If you would like a chance to Facetime with me, please email me sometime in the next few days and give me a good phone number to call you at, and a good time to call. I would say the window would be from 1:00 to 4:00 from M-F of next week. When you email me, just include the day and approximate time you would like me to facetime. Let’s give it a go!!
Just for fun: A backyard campout? My grandson turned 10 yesterday, and his family had a camping party in the backyard. Remember Alf and Oswald’s camp out? House camping is fun too!
Make a snack for your family and invite them to your make-believe restaurant. Pretend you are a waiter, take their order and serve them.
Use items from around your house or any building materials you have available to build a zoo for your stuffed animals.
Make homemade ice cream in a jar: http://bit.ly/2WnPIyt
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!!! I have been thinking about this A A Milne quote a lot: “If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together…..there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…..I’ll always be with you.”
