Lesson Plan for Thursday, April 16th
Greetings! I can’t wait to see your wonderful faces at our Zoom meeting today at 11:30!! My video lesson is LONG today, so if it becomes too much, you can just pause it and come back to it again tomorrow through next Monday. Remember that there will be no additional assigned lessons until Tuesday, April 21st.
Religion: Have your student make the booklet. Discuss that the word Alleluia means, “Praise God.” Ask: What signs of new life are shown in this booklet? Talk about the last page on which the children can see the risen Jesus. Remind your son/daughter that on Easter we celebrate Jesus’ life and love. Now look at pg. 239. Sing the song if you know it. If you are not familiar with it, you can recite it as a prayer. Completing page 240 is optional, because we already did a similar assignment.
Writing: The ABC’s of me, letter C.
Have your kinder write and illustrate: The craziest thing I have ever done is___________________________________. Remember, we are trying to write at least 2-3 sentences for each page in our book. If you have not been able to finish the stories for the letters A and B yet, keep working on it. You will have until next Tuesday before the letter D story is assigned.
Math: Parents, you might have to help your student read the words at the bottom of page 725, so that your son/daughter can complete the page. Then read the directions for pages 726, 727 and 728 and complete those. We will be moving on to telling time next week!!
Just for fun: 1. You can do the math page, “3-D shapes” that is the first page in your new math pages. 2. Make a marble run using a Lego base, Legos and a marble. 3. Make homemade bubble juice and wands. 4. Write some Superkids words on a Twister game with a dry erase marker and play Superkids Twister
